Finished in unmarked Raven Black, with special custom interior, which comprises of black headlining, Oxblood leather to the Chauffeur and Oxblood silk to the rear, face forward occasionals with no division. Only 412 of these cars were ever built, with just 5 known to have survived. The car has a wonderful and well documented history; it was purchased by MGM Studios in April 1939 and presented to Greer Garson - the Hollywood Legend and Academy Award winner. The price when new was $3102.96 dollars and this was more than the annual income of most Americans! Lovely options, twin sidemounts, whitewall tyres, Wells Gardner radio, heater/defrosters, Trippe driving lights. This car has a V8 Flathead engine, 346 cubic inch. It is on 141 inch wheelbase is 20 ft whole length with 140 horsepower at 3400 RPM. Hydraulic valve lifters, Strongberg carb and hydraulic brakes. The car has allegedly spent a number of years at the Imperial Palace Hotel in Las Vegas. This is a very very important car with a well documented history.

Greer Garson was an Academy Award winner for MGM studios and the car was exclusively for her use under her contract with the Studio- At the time she was MGM's top Box office star. To make the car more exceptional for Hollywood's beloved actress, the interior was customised by the Studio themselves in luxurious red silk for the rear compartment, Red was Garsons favourite colour. With the car there are 2 magazines from the early 40's; Time Magazine and Photoplay, with articles about the actress. There was also additional modifications to the chrome trim. In the rears seats there are two cushions embroidered with MGM, 2 flower vases, a hipflask embossed with MGM, a full workshop manual a silk stole which allegedly belonged to Miss Garson and other bits and pieces relating to the star.

This car has never been offered for sale in Europe before and we are delighted to offer this unique experience to own such a rare car with such an interesting and important history.
