1 : 12 Stirling Silver Model of the fabulous Blower Bentley - £25,000.00

This stunning, and very rare, 1:12 scale model of Birkins legendary supercharged 4 1/2 Litre Blower Bentley is crafted in hallmarked sterling silver and rhodium plated (prevents tarnishing and gives a beautiful lush finish). The Blower is mounted onto a black plinth with a perspec display cover, all hand built by master craftsman Gil Holt, one of the UKs top model making specialists, taking the art of the silversmith to its peak.

More information regarding this model can be found in the 'The Bentley Collection' catalogue of 2005 (see photo), where Bentley Motors invited customers to register their interest to buy one of only 10 commisioned models, for £34,995.

Driven by Tim Birkin & Jean Chassagne in the 1930 Le Mans 24-hour race, the Blower Bentley set a lap record of 89.69 mph and enabled the Bentley team to record its fifth and most famous victory. Arguably the most evocative Bentley ever built and synonymous with the 'Bentley Boys' quest for speed.

There has been so few of these beautiful models crafted, that it is very unusual to find one for sale.
